Business management
Successful corporate management requires clear and consistent communication. In addition to conveying the company’s vision and mission, it is crucial to concretize the company’s goals so that each team member knows exactly how they can contribute to achieving the common goal. In my role as Head of Finance and Operations for Europe, I was part of the regional management and indirectly responsible for over 400 employees across Europe. In addition to regular meetings (Town Halls), each employee had individual goals that contributed to achieving the larger objectives. This clarity provides employees with an important basis for decision-making in prioritizing their daily tasks.
Formation of multicultural teams
I have worked in a team consisting of over 50 nationalities. It is essential to understand that different cultures have various communication and leadership styles. In this context, I highly recommend the book “The Culture Map” by Erin Meyer. It has personally helped me to better understand the needs of my employees and ensure that they feel valued and understood.
Development of leadership skills
The rapid growth of a company led to employees who started, for example, as interns or specialists being able to take on leadership responsibilities within a very short time. These young talents need not only trust but also support in the form of advice and tools. I experienced this growth particularly intensively in customer service, where we expanded from six to over 200 people within 4 years. Also during my entire career I’ve acted as a trusted mentor to help team-members unlock their full potential.
Project management
Whether it’s ERP implementation, HR software, redesigning the budgeting process, or introducing new operational processes – I have led and successfully completed numerous complex projects. For me, it is crucial not only that the final product is impressive but also that the implementation and rollout proceed smoothly. I involve all stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
